Charity

At Twycross House School we work very hard to encourage and help pupils of all ages to participate in fund raising for charities outside the school. We believe that this is a vital part of the children’s broad education. As well as facing full-on the difficulties which confront other people and being encouraged to do something practical to help, the children learn a wide range of skills.

Support for charitable projects are chosen and organised by the pupils. From the design of the advertising posters to the smooth running the event, the children are totally involved in the activity. They also take great pride counting the proceeds to send on to their chosen organisation. Where possible the representatives are invited in to talk to the school so the pupils can hear more about the valuable work of the charity and to also present a cheque of the money that was raised.
