Our admissions process is fair, transparent and designed to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child can thrive in their first educational experience.
Places are allocated in the following order of priority:
- Availability of places, taking into accord staff-to-child ratios
- Children of the appropriate age for admission
- Siblings of children already attending the school
Sessions run during term time only. Children are required to attend a minimum of three day sessions per week to support settling and continuity. In the summer term, where availability is limited, two sessions per week may be considered. While preferences are taken into account, specific days cannot always be guaranteed. Where necessary, children will be placed on an internal waiting list.

Application Process
1. Register Interest
Complete an online registration of interest form
2. Visit the Preschool
Families will be invited to tour the setting with the Early Years Lead. This visit provides an opportunity to explore the environment and discuss your child’s interests and any additional support needs.
3. Offer of Sessions
If a place is available, session options will be discussed based on your registration and current availability.
A £250 deposit is required to secure the place and will be deducted from the first invoice.
Settling sessions are arranged before starting and can be tailored to each child. These sessions are considered essential in ensuring a positive start.
Fees & Payment
Fees for unfunded and extended hours are payable in advance during the first week of term. Fees include meals, snacks, drinks, accident insurance and swimming.
Fees remain payable during absences, including sickness and holidays. Fees are reviewed annually, with at least half a term’s notice given of any increase.
One full term’s notice is required for withdrawal, otherwise fees in lieu of notice will be charged. Both parents are jointly and severally liable for fees.

Funding Entitlement
All children are entitled to 15 hours per week of Early Education Funding (FEEE) from the term after their third birthday. Required documentation must be submitted to access funding, which will then be deducted from fees.

Breakfast Session (7:30am–9:00am) – £8 per session
Children arriving before 8:30am receive breakfast. -
Day Session (9:00am–3:00pm)

After School Session (3:00pm–5:30pm) – £14 per session
Includes a light supper at 4:00pm. (Not available on Fridays.)
Day sessions include a broad programme delivered by qualified staff, including music, swimming, games, French, art, cooking and woodland learning. A cooked lunch is provided in the school dining hall.
Children must attend a minimum of three day sessions per week.
Transition to The Hollies
Children who attend Twycross House Preschool will be prioritised for places at The Hollies. However, all applicants must complete the standard admissions process. Attendance at the Preschool does not guarantee a place at The Hollies.
