Students, parents and staff at Twycross House School are celebrating these exceptional results, which are the culmination of great commitment and hard work over the last two years. The students have surpassed even the very high standards achieved in recent years and this has enabled them to make successful applications to universities around the country.

Exactly half of the students obtained all A*/A grades and deserve particular mention: Will Evans has achieved a place at UCL to study computer science, Molly Goldspink will read French and Spanish at Bristol, Charlotte Lynch will study physics at Durham, Toby Marshall biochemistry at Lancaster and Joe Morgan aerospace engineering at Liverpool. Olivia Shackleton has obtained a prestigious offer from St Anne’s College, Oxford to read English Literature, Sophie Randle has a place to read medicine at Cardiff, Ryan Shepherd and Amelia Springall will travel to Bath to read physics and chemistry respectively, Amelia Stamper will study neuroscience at St Andrews and Abigail Williams read law at Cardiff.

Headmaster Steve Assinder said: ‘We are delighted with these outstanding results, which are such a credit to the students, the teaching staff and our supportive parents. For all 22 students to have achieved an average of three A grades is a source of great pride and I am so pleased that the students have also continued to experience such broad and varied opportunities.  Many of our Upper Sixth leavers have been at Twycross House since the age of four.  We wish them all well for the future and look forward to celebrating their success at our Presentation Evening in November.’
